Ear Candling is a gentle and soothing way to remove built up wax from the inner ear. The cone shape of the candle creates a vortex of air flows into the ear, the steam loosens and dislodges old earwax where it is then drawn to the outer ear where is can be safely removed.
Q-tips can push the wax back down into the ear and we are often not able to reach deep enough to remove it safely which is where the excess wax builds up.
Our ears produce wax to protect the tiny bones and nerves of our inner ear. These bones and nerves vibrate to create the sounds we hear and have sensory receptors that send messages to our brain. This system is known as the Vestibular System or Organ of Balance and regulates our spatial orientation, balance, and our ability to maintain equilibrium, upright posture, and feel stable on your feet.
This earwax can buildup and become impacted deep within the inner ear. This is quite common, and symptoms can range from physical to psychological and can include headaches, earaches, eye pain, nausea, dizziness, vertigo, pressure, itchy ears, plugged/popped ears or like there is water in your ear.
Obtaining a healthy flow in the inner ear is essential for feeling balanced, grounded, and maintaining health.
HISTORY of Ear Candling:

The Ancient Greeks used Ear Candles for spiritual healing as far back as 2500B.C. They later realized that ear candling offered physical benefits as well. Used during healing, and spiritual ceremonies, to warm up the inner ear.
